TECHNI ICE™ Maintenance Hints
1. While immersed in water scrunch and release sheet in hands repeatedly until all the air bubbles have been released. (Takes approximately 30 seconds). Leave sheet immersed for a further 20 to 30 minutes
2. You will notice that hydration (swelling) has commenced. On occasion some cells (squares) swell more rapidly than others, In this case rubbing the slower cells (squares) between the fingers will result in faster, more even hydration. This also ensures a long product life and eliminates straining of the outer plastic layer covering the individual cells.
3. Your Techni Ice sheet is now ready to freeze or heat.
FREEZING INSTRUCTIONS
Place or stack your Techni Ice sheets in the freezer. Be sure to dry sheets completely before placing in freezer.
HOW TO MAXIMIZE Techni Ice freezing capabilities
Turn freezer to lowest temperature setting for best results. Techni Ice™ can be frozen to Negative -80 Degrees Celsius, replacing dry ice. The lower the temperature TECHNI ICE™ is frozen to, longer it stays frozen (many people only have their freezers at -1° for ice cubes, etc.).
DO YOU HAVE A FROST-FREE FREEZER (as opposed to traditional refrigerated shelves type freezer)?
When using Techni Ice™ in a frost-free freezer, your sheets may partially dehydrate over a period of time because of the dry humidity created .by 'frost-free freezers. Where frost-free freezers are being used, simply place your Techni Ice™ sheets in a plastic supermarket or garbage bag arid seal the end by folding during the freezing process or whilst storing in the freezer.
HEATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place hydrated sheet in microwave for 1 minute or more for increased heat. This is very useful as a hot pack to transport food or to soothe aching muscles, etc. Caution: Check to make sure sheet is not too hot before placing on body.
